This coating is made with a new PVD technology combining the most modern concepts and the most sophisticated developments of cathodic arc coating.
A special high-energy etching step - implemented by a chemical reaction activated by plasma - makes surfaces particularly reactive to further coating.
The coating is an Aluminium and Chromium Nitrides alloy created with a special evaporation technology which allows the formation of layers that are practically free from structural defects.
GearCut is designed to be applied on hobs working in heavy-duty conditions, that is with extreme cutting parameters or for dry-cutting, but it also shows excellent results when applied on other types of gear cutting tools, such as shaper cutters and stick blades for bevel gear cutting.
